It was about 10:30 a.m. when it! photographer Jake Brooks and I pulled into Merriweather Post Pavilion. I was excited and nervous because one of the biggest events of the summer was about to take place, the Vans Warped Tour.
THROUGH THE GATES
As I clambered out of my car, the air was quivering with excitement. I quickly ate, then Jake and I were off to bypass the thousands of kids waiting in line for the gates to open. Nashville power-pop trio The Pink Spiders were providing entertainment to those in line, and I watched kids’ faces as their excitement mounted. I started to grow anxious and nervous, but the loud music seemed to be calming.
