Even though I live outside of Atlanta now, I still consider Richmond, Va., my home. There will always be a piece of my heart that belongs to that city. Did you that there are more than 4,000 people in Richmond living with HIV? The newest exhibit at The Valentine, “Voices from Richmond’s Hidden Epidemic,” personal stories through oral histories and black-and-white photographic portraits of individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. That’s why I chose to write about this exhibit–to help bring awareness to the epidemic.
